245 _aPatrologia Orientalis (series). A continuation of the Migne series of the Greek and Latin fathers of the church, it deals with texts in Arabic, Syriac, Ethiopian, Coptic etc, printed in the original language with an introduction, discussion of the manuscripts available, a modern translation, and tables.
300 _aTangaza has Vols 1-52 (The index, bound separately, is essential for citations)
440 _aDATES: The early issues (vols 1-26) had vol numbers but no dates because publication could be spread over several years. When Brépols (Turnhout) took over publication, from vol.34-35, they assigned numbers to every issue, starting from the first (eg Patr Or 17 is volume 4, issue 3) but had no means of dating them. For vols 1-25, the index uses the date of the Imprimatur given at the beginning of each issue, in ordinary brackets, eg (1904), or, if none is available, a date given by old catalogues, in square brackets, eg [1933]. The Imprimatur indicates the date that the manuscript was approved by the Diocese; actual publication could be deferred for months, even years. Please refer to the PRESENTATION and AVERTISSEMENT at the beginning of the INDEX TO VOLS 1-50 (L/Gr BQ 3031.P37 Index). In short: Date of publication in ordinary brackets is the date of the Imprimatur; date of publication in square brackets is a date deduced using old catalogues etc. (Volume dates are given in the INDEX, e.g. Tome 32: 1966-1969, but not in the OPAC which shows records by issue).

700 _aAlmost all translations are in French. Those with an English title are in English (except the Old Georgian texts, translated into LATIN). Tables of contents are usually at the beginning of an issue, indexes, vocabularies and other tables at the end of the issue.
