N1  - This study investigated the impacts of information technology on youth. The respondents comprised thirty six (36) students from Enoomatasiani Girls secondary school and students from youth ministry and other institutes within Tangaza College. The study examined both the positive and negative impacts of information technology to youth at Enoomatasiani girls secondary school in Matasia Ngong hills and students from the institute of youth ministry and from other institutes in Tangaza College- Nairobi. As a result of globalization the system of communication has been greatly improved. As a result of improvement in communication people are now able to communicate with each other from any other corner of this globe. To some extent this has both positive and negative impacts especially to young people of our globe but more to young people in Africa. This research paper is aiming on bringing into awareness on what youth conceptualize as positive and negative impacts information technology and their suggestions on how to use information technology correctly and critically. According to the observation made by the researcher through reviewing different literatures and responses he received from his respondents he recommends thet, young people should admit that they are protagonists of their future. In building bright future, they need to be critical when using information technology. The researcher recommends to parents, educational stakeholders and the government through the ministry of education to train and give direction to young people on how to access information from internet which are helpful for their well being academically and socially other than those which demoralize their ethical standards. The society is also called to be a role model to young people. It is a call for everyone to assist young people towards self discovery and to appreciate themselves and struggling towards making their future prosperous, as a society we are reminded not to blame young people but correct them in love, at the same time we are challenged to be morally upright to enable them to emulate us
