2. Throngs of young people live in abject poverty, and lack of organized social and ecclesial structures that may favour their integral growth. The church harbours a lot of assets that can be used to support the young people in their growth. One of these is spiritual guidance. The young people’s cry is that pastoral agents seem to be far drawn from their situation. They therefore talk of God as if he were absolutely out of touch with their situation. This deep longing for understanding calls for a proper faith communication. My research is inspired by this urgent need.
